A savory and aromatic pasta dish made with garlic, tomatoes, olive oil, and Turkish spices. Simple, delicious, and ready in under 30 minutes!

🛒 Ingredients:

  • 200g spaghetti or any pasta

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)

  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)

  • 2 medium tomatoes (grated or finely chopped)

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (pul biber – Turkish chili flakes)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley or mint (for garnish)

  • Optional: Grated Turkish kasar cheese or feta on top


👨‍🍳 Instructions:

🔹 Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Boil water with a bit of salt and cook pasta until al dente.

  2. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.

🔹 Step 2: Make the Sauce

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes until soft.

  3. Add garlic and cook another 1 minute.

  4. Stir in grated tomatoes and tomato paste.

  5. Add paprika, pul biber, salt, and pepper.

  6. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  7. If needed, add a bit of pasta water to adjust consistency.

🔹 Step 3: Combine & Serve

  1. Toss the drained pasta into the sauce.

  2. Mix until fully coated.

  3. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

  4. Add grated cheese if desired.
