Strawberry Tiramisu

Fresh Strawberry Tiramisu Recipe

This fruity twist on the classic Italian dessert is light, creamy, and bursting with strawberry flavor. Unlike traditional tiramisu, this version skips the coffee and cocoa for sweet strawberries and whipped mascarpone—perfect for spring and summer!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450g) fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz (225g) mascarpone cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pack ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi)
  • Extra strawberries and mint for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix sliced strawberries with granulated sugar and lemon juice. Let sit for 15–20 minutes to release juices.
  2. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Dip each ladyfinger briefly into the strawberry juice (do not soak), then layer in a dish.
  6. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers. Add a layer of strawberries.
  7. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, remaining cream, and top with more strawberries.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best flavor and texture.
  9. Garnish with fresh strawberries and mint leaves before serving.

Tips for Success

  • Use ripe, sweet strawberries for maximum flavor.
  • Don’t soak the ladyfingers too long or they’ll become soggy.
  • Let it chill overnight for the best texture and flavor fusion.
